KFKF Kansas City Realigns After Tony Stevens’ Retirement

Steel City Country KFKF Kansas City APD/MD midday host Tony Stevens is set to retire on December 20. In a related development, current Alpha WIBW Topeka, KS morning host Jim Daniels, who worked as the morning show producer at KFKF from 1996 to 2006, will return to the station.

Daniels will take over the afternoon slot beginning January 6. Meanwhile, current afternoon host Ed Walker will transition to the midday shift and take on the role of music director.

KFKF is set to launch a rebranding initiative on January 6, featuring new marketing strategies, billboard displays, contests, refreshed imaging, and jingles.

Imaging duties will transition from Walker, who has been with KFKF since 2011, to Daniels. Stevens has been with the station for 40 years.
