NBC Sunday Night Football Averages 19.3 Million Viewers for Lions-Texans Showdown

That ranks the game the most watched Week 10 SNF game in five years.

NBC’s Sunday Night Football featured the Detroit Lions and the Houston Texans this past week. Detroit won the game 26-23 on a last-second field goal despite quarterback Jared Goff throwing five interceptions. The game drew an average audience of 19.3 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, and the digital platforms from NBC and the NFL. That ranks the game the most watched Week 10 SNF game in five years. The numbers are based on the fast nationals from Nielsen with digital data from Adobe Analytics.

Locally, the Detroit market had a 64 share and a 29.5 rating to lead all cities. Houston was actually outdone by Kansas City which had a 14.6 rating, Houston was third with a 14.1. Minneapolis and Milwaukee rounded out the top 5.

Sunday Night Football on NBC features Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth in the booth along with Melissa Stark on the sidelines. Next up for them are two matchups from LA with next week’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. NBC will then close out the month of November with a Thanksgiving broadcast in primetime featuring the Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers.
