“I hardly know where to begin in thanking you for your unwavering support. My health challenges have made this a difficult period. Your kindness and generosity have been a lifeline.”
The above is from one of your colleagues.
A broadcasting professional that faced a tragedy that altered their way of life and jeopardized their career. In such difficult times, the Broadcasters Foundation of America is dedicated to supporting individuals in the broadcasting industry and steps in to assist.
When illness or misfortune strikes a member of the broadcasting community, the foundation offers crucial support through ongoing monthly assistance or one-time emergency financial aid.
Over the last two decades, the Broadcasters Foundation has allocated more than $15 million in assistance to broadcasting professionals nationwide, including all states, territories, and markets of varying sizes.
This year, requests for emergency grants have surged due to extreme weather conditions. In response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the foundation has awarded over 80 emergency grants, and applications for aid continue to arrive steadily.
Donations from generous individuals and companies in the broadcasting sector across America have enabled the Broadcasters Foundation to offer essential support to its colleagues. Contributions come from various sources, including major markets, small stations, large corporations, and independent broadcasters.
As the holiday season approaches and the year draws to a close, the Broadcasters Foundation of America urges contributions to support colleagues in our industry facing significant challenges. Donations of any size can have a meaningful impact on those in critical need.
