The Tom Kent Radio Network officially halted its operations at the end of 2024 following Tom Kent‘s passing in June 2023.
In 2002, Kent launched his career in the syndication industry by establishing the TKO Radio Network. He took the helm as host of the evening Oldies program, “Hall of Fame Coast to Coast,” and the weekly show, “Into The 70s,” focused on the 1970s.
In 2007, Tom Kent decided to sell his company and step down from the network. However, in 2008, he launched the “Tom Kent Radio Network” (TKRN), which has since claimed over 600 affiliates.
Among the network’s offerings are the Classic Hits “24/7 Fun” network, where Kent hosts the afternoon slot, the nightly program “Tom Kent Music Magazine,” and the custom-tracked “TK Daily Download.”
Kent also hosts several weekly shows, including “My 70’s Show,” “Lovin’ Life, Livin’ the 80’s,” “Totally 90s Show,” “TK2K,” “The Classic Hits Countdown,” and “The Ultimate Party with Tom Kent.”
Two of Kent’s three children, Steve Kent and Jackie Newton, hosted programs on the Tom Kent Radio Network. The network also includes a morning show anchored by Bill Shannon and “Powerline with Brother Jon Rivers.”
Since Kent’s passing, the network has featured best-of clips highlighting his contributions.
