Alternative XTRA-FM 91X San Diego morning host Marty Whitney will exit the station after his show tomorrow (1/31).
This ends his second tour of duty at the station, where he had previously served as MD and evening host from 2003 to 2006.
A post on his Facebook page reads, “LMSD sold 100.9 BIG FM which landed me outside of their new staff mix. I’m READY to serve a music loving community and entertain an audience for a great media force who want great ratings on-air, a previous ALT station of the year PD, multi-format Music Director, major market imaging talent with sigma dadventure IG stories NOW. The last 91X show for now in my second tour of the station, first on 2003-2006, will be Jan 31st. 5:30-10A. I am forever grateful to be a tiny story in the long rebel history on 91X. Please, do continue to support, listen to the legendary 91X as Garett, Hilary, Danielle and Halloran continue the fight in San Diego!”
