Murphy Huston is retiring after 38 years in Colorado radio, the last 28 with KOSI 101.1 Denver.
Huston hosted weeknights from 6-11 pm.
According to KUSA Channel 9, Denver Huston will remain active in nonprofits and spend more time with his eight grandchildren,
KOSI 101 DJ Kathy told KUSA, “For 53 years, he’s brought warmth, laughter, and heart to the airwaves. More than a broadcaster, he’s a devoted family man, mentor, friend, and all-around great human. Murphy, you will be deeply missed at KOSI and across Denver’s airwaves. It’s been an honor to work with you. Wishing you all the happiness in retirement!”
Huston began his career in Wisconsin, working for WRAC Racine and WISN Milwaukee. He spent 10 years at KHOW Denver before joining KOSI.
His final show will be tonight. (2/11).
