Backbone Broadcast has announced plans for a pre-release beta program of its SoundSystem Live program to select sports venues and teams.
The cloud-based service provides fans with an audio experience anywhere inside the venue with ultra-low latency. It allows up to 100,000 fans to listen to real-time audio via smartphone which enables teams, leagues, and event organizers the ability to engage fans inside the audio space during live events.
“We’re inviting professional and collegiate teams, as well as stadium operators, to be among the first to experience Backbone SoundSystem Live in action,” said Backbone Broadcast CEO Richard Cerny. “Our cloud-based, drop-in approach eliminates the need for any installation or specialized equipment, leveraging venue Wi-Fi and 5G, bonded for a seamless and scalable experience, whether at your home venue or even at away games.
“Beta participants will gain early access to groundbreaking technology that enhances fan engagement and revenue-earning potential,” concluded Cerny.
Backbone Broadcast will be showcasing the technology at the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas next month. Sports venues, teams, and broadcast rightsholders interesting in trialing the program can apply to do so by clicking here.
