Shay Shay Media is adding Hawks AF (And Friends), a video series from the Atlanta Hawks hosted by D.C. Young Fly, to its media network as part of a strategic partnership with the team. The digital media company founded by ESPN analyst and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Shannon Sharpe will augment the distribution of the program, which features athletes, entertainers and musical artists in the Atlanta area since being unveiled last November.
This strategic partnership results in the show joining other original content as part of the platform, including Club Shay Shay, Nightcap, Club 520 and The Bubba Dub Show. The company garnered more than 10 billion YouTube impressions last year and possesses over 10 million followers across its digital media community.
“As a Georgia native, I’ve seen firsthand how Atlanta has grown into a hub for sports, music and entertainment,” Sharpe said. “Credit to the Hawks for capturing that cultural dialogue with Hawks AF. We look forward to working with D.C. Young Fly and the Atlanta Hawks organization to bring their phenomenal content to an even wider audience.”
Throughout the season, Hawks AF has featured a variety of celebrities on its airwaves, including seven-time NBA All-Star forward Joe Johnson, rap star J.I.D. and actress and entertainer Crystal Renee Haslett. Future episodes will continue featuring prominent local figures such as Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member Dominique Wilkins, award-winning film producer Will Packer and current Hawks starters Dyson Daniels and Onyeka Okongwu. The show was originally created by the Hawks marketing and creative teams with all episodes shot and produced by Hawks Studios.
