Joshua Fleming has returned to Hawaii as Station Manager, General Sales Manager, and on-air host for HHawaii Media. As part of his new duties, Fleming will host mornings on Hawaiian Hits and Reggae Roots Island Radio 98.9 under the name Shwah.
It is a homecoming for Fleming, who went to high school in Pahoa and previously held roles in on-air and sales in Hilo and Honolulu.
Fleming arrives from Cumulus Media in Reno, where he served as Regional Digital Sales Manager.
HHawaii Media’s portfolio includes five stations in Kauai: Island Radio 98.9, Rooster Country 99.9, Jamz 98.1, Sunny 101.3, and 107.9 The X.
The company is locally owned and operates 15 stations on Oahu, Maui and Kauai. George Hochman started the company in 2000.
