When you think of Scott Shannon comes to mind? The Z100 worst-to-first transformation, Pirate Radio Los Angeles, maybe WCBS-FM. All good.
However, in 1972, Shannon was honing his craft at 1300 WMAK in Nashville. Shannon hosted evenings and eventually rose to Program Director.
When Shannon left WMAK, it was for a promo position with Casablanca Records. The radio story could have ended right there. Instead, Shannon returned to radio at WPGC in Washington, DC, and the rest, as they say, is history.
