Aaron Blake, who has worked as a podcast host for The Washington Post, is leaving the publication to join CNN in a senior reporter role.
Blake hosted the Post Reports podcast — a weekly political podcast — which was previously branded as Campaign Moment. He also served as the managing editor of The Fix, the political blog for the Post.
In his new role with CNN, Aaron Blake will focus on a wide range of political topics, including coverage of President Donald Trump, Congress, and the happenings inside the federal government.
“Super excited to start a new chapter with the great team over at CNN,” said Blake. “Super sad to be leaving so many wonderful and talented colleagues at the Washington Post — my home for the last 15 years and a place with some of the loveliest people in journalism.”
Blake will be based at CNN’s Washington D.C. bureau when he begins his duties with the cable news network.
Prior to joining The Washington Post, Blake served as a staff writer at The Hill, covering Congress and presidential campaigns.
