Newsmax has announced a new distribution deal with Hulu that will see the cable news channel offered on the Hulu + Live TV package later this year.
Hulu was the final major streaming platform or cable provider in the United States to agree to a deal to carry the channel.
The addition of the carriage on the streaming service means Newsmax will now be available in 60 million homes. The network shares that it puts it on equal footing with outlets like CNN and Fox News.
Newsmax shared that it expects to launch on the streaming service in July, but a concrete date of carriage has yet to be finalized.
Other news channels on the Hulu + Live TV package include ABC News Live, CBS News, CNBC, CNN, Fox Business, Fox News, HLN, MSNBC, NBC News NOW, and NewsNation, among others.
The addition of the new distribution deal comes on the heels of Newsmax going public on the New York Stock Exchange earlier this year. The network’s price soared to more than $250 per share at its opening, before falling back down to around $25 per share in the most recent days of trading.
