As reported earlier this week, the launch of the new “Erik & Jenny” morning show at Country Y100 San Antonio was postponed due to Erik Smith’s son’s hospitalization. (BMM 5/6)
RAMP has published a statement from Y100 Director of Branding & Programming Christi Brooks that reads, “Erik’s son is home, and he is back in the building. “It’s not going to be a full-blown show,” Brooks added. “Just a chance for Erik to tell San Antonio thank you for all the love and support they showed a complete stranger. We really had a ton of people reaching out, checking on him and his son, and asking how they could help. It was a pretty cool example of the power of radio and actually being local.”
The report continues saying that the show will begin on May 12 in a limited capacity.
