Longtime New Country 105.1 Sacramento morning co-host Tom Mailey has announced his retirement. Mailey has been part of the “Pat, Tom & Cody” since 1992.
Mailey is a member of the Country Radio Hall of Fame. He announced the news on Facebook.
Chad Rufer, Group Director of Programming for Bonneville Sacramento, told Barrett Media, “Tom Mailey has been instrumental to the success of KNCI for the past 30 years. Along with his partner Pat Still, he’s helped to raise millions of dollars to support local organizations in the Sacramento community and has shown the power of radio firsthand.”
“I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with Tom for just over 10 years now, and I will certainly miss his witty humor and his passion for this brand, but I’m very excited that he gets to transition his time to his fishing business, which I know he loves,” Rufer continued. “While his shoes will be very difficult to fill, we will be posting an opening to join the KNCI Morning Show on Monday after we get through Country in the Park this weekend.

Mailey will conclude his run by co-hosting the station’s Country In The Park concert at the Cal Expo.
