The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation hosted the 50th Annual Gracie Awards Gala last night (May 20) at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.
Premiere Networks syndicated personalities and podcasters Angela Yee, the host of “Way Up with Angela Yee” and “Angela Yee’s Lip Service” podcast, along with Amy Brown, co-host of “The Bobby Bones Show” and host of “Women of iHeartCountry” and “Feeling Things with Amy & Kat” podcast were both honored.
Yee took home a Gracie Award for the second year in a row for “Way Up with Angela Yee” in the Host – Midday [Radio – Nationally Syndicated Commercial] category.
Brown received recognition in the Weekend Host/Personality [Radio – Nationally Syndicated Commercial] category for her work on Women of iHeartCountry. This marks her second achievement in this field, following a previous Gracie award for The Bobby Bones Show in 2012.
Presenters included Atsuko Okatsuka, Bethany Joy Lenz, Christina Hendricks, Jenna Dewan, Jillian Escoto Ong, Jimmy Kimmel, Jo Ling Kent, Joey King, Karen Pittman, Kyle Richards, Monica Lewinsky, Sean Valentine, and Teddi Mellencamp. Past winners in attendance included Norah O’Donnell, Lisa Ling, Yee, and Ed Begley Jr..
This year, a record-breaking 160 winners were named from all across the media landscape.
