The New 96.5 Philadelphia will shuffle the on-air line-up on Monday. (6/16).
Current morning man Michael Bennett will shift from mornings to afternoons. He had been hosting mornings for the past four years and has been with the station for twelve years.
Bennett posted the news on Instagram, saying, “Today is my last morning show on the New 96.5. The last four years have been an absolute dream. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished — consistently one of the most listened-to morning shows in Philly!
Being part of your morning routine has truly meant the world to me.”
Adding, “I just signed a new 3-year deal, and starting Monday, I’ll be bringing the exact same show to weekdays from 2–7 pm. Even more exciting: I’ll also be doing the show in a few other markets (more on that soon)! Today also marks my 12th anniversary with the station, and this new contract will take me through year ‘15. Wild. Thank you for following and listening all these years. Here’s to many more laughs… and a little more sleep.
No word on the future of the morning slot.
