Woodward Sports Network has announced the addition of The Braylon Edwards Show, with Matt Shepard joining him in afternoons.
The Detroit all-digital sports network is launching the show on Monday, July 14th. It will be heard and seen from 2-4 PM. The show replaces the previous program hosted by Ryan Ermanni, who recently announced he was taking over afternoons at WJR 760, the Cumulus Media news/talk station in the city.
Edwards is a former NFL star, spending time with the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks during his career after being the 3rd overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He won the Biletnikoff Award in 2004 during his time at the University of Michigan. Braylon Edwards is also a Detroit native.
Shepard is a four-time Emmy Award winner and two-time Michigan Sportscaster of the Year. He previously called games for the Detroit Tigers, and has also served as a play-by-play announcer for the Big Ten Network and held fill-in roles with the Red Wings, Lions, and Pistons in the city.
Woodward Sports Network says it has high hopes for the new pairing.
“This dynamic duo is more than just a sports show – it’s a destination for fans and partners,” the outlet said. “Whether you’re a die-hard or a casual, a sponsor or supporter, The Braylon Edwards Show with Shep promises deeper insights, stronger chemistry, and smarter conversation.”
