ESPN Re-Signs NFL Analyst Field Yates To Multi-Year Extension

"Yates will maintain his position as the face of ESPN’s Fantasy Football coverage across multiple platforms, including studio shows and podcasts. In addition, he will remain a cornerstone of ESPN’s NFL Draft programming"

ESPN has re-signed Field Yates to a multi-year deal, solidifying his role as one of the network’s leading NFL Draft, Fantasy Football, and overall NFL analysts. The move ensures Yates will continue to be a central figure in ESPN’s football coverage, both during the regular season and throughout the offseason.

Under the new agreement, Yates will maintain his position as the face of ESPN’s Fantasy Football coverage across multiple platforms, including studio shows and podcasts. In addition, he will remain a cornerstone of ESPN’s NFL Draft programming, providing analysis and insight during the lead-up to, and throughout, the three-day event.

In addition to his Draft and Fantasy Football responsibilities, Yates will continue hosting and providing analysis on studio programming, including NFL Live and SportsCenter. Fans will also see him on weekly podcasts such as First Draft and Fantasy Focus Football, as well as the seasonally focused Fantasy Football Now, which airs Sunday mornings on ESPN2 during the NFL season.

Since joining ESPN in 2012, Yates has steadily expanded his portfolio. Over the past two years, he has been a primary NFL Draft analyst, appearing across ESPN and ABC during the event’s opening nights, and contributing to the network’s comprehensive coverage.

Yates’ work extends beyond the studio. Leading into each NFL Draft, he reports from major pre-draft events, including the Senior Bowl, NFL Scouting Combine, and Pro Days, while also offering mock drafts, player rankings, and comprehensive previews.

Before his ESPN career, Yates spent two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs (2009–2011), working across both scouting and coaching staffs. He also completed four summer internships with the New England Patriots (2004–2007), assisting in coaching and scouting operations, which helped shape his deep understanding of player evaluation and team-building processes.
