Good Karma Brands has elevated Tommy Lam to Market Manager of ESPN Los Angeles, effective immediately, the company announced Monday. In his new role, Lam will oversee all facets of the brand’s operations, including sales, content, marketing, and community partnerships, as ESPN LA continues to solidify its position as a leading destination for sports fans in the region.

“Tommy’s deep roots in the Los Angeles media landscape, combined with his passion for building brands and connecting with the community, make him the ideal leader for ESPN LA,” said Sam Pines, senior vice president of Good Karma Brands and former Market Manager of ESPN LA. “He has excelled at leading teammates across sales, marketing, and support, serving as a strong conduit between those areas and the content team. His proven track record of innovation and results will continue to elevate the brand’s reach and impact with fans and partners.”

Lam brings more than two decades of experience in media, brand strategy, and integrated marketing to his new role. Before this promotion, he served as General Sales Manager and Senior Director of Marketing for ESPN Los Angeles, where he drove revenue growth, developed strategic partnerships, and led multi-platform marketing initiatives. His experience positions him to build on the momentum of the brand while strengthening its connections with both fans and business partners.

“I am honored to take on this role and continue building on ESPN LA’s momentum,” Lam said. “Los Angeles is one of the most dynamic sports markets in the world, and I’m excited to work with our talent team to deliver outstanding experiences for our fans, partners, and teammates.”

Over the years, ESPN LA has cultivated a loyal following, offering comprehensive sports coverage while engaging in community initiatives that highlight its influence beyond the airwaves. The radio station has recently announced broadcast rights extensions with both the Los Angeles Lakers, and Los Angeles Rams. The station also announced contract extensions for both Steve Mason and John Ireland to continue hosting the midday timeslot with Mason & Ireland.

Lam’s promotion follows a period of strategic growth for ESPN Los Angeles, which has increasingly leveraged cross-platform content, live events, and marketing partnerships to reach a broader audience. His leadership is expected to amplify these efforts, creating additional opportunities for fan engagement and advertiser collaboration.

As Market Manager, Lam will collaborate closely with ESPN LA’s on-air talent and production teams, while continuing to expand partnerships with local organizations, sponsors, and community initiatives. The move signals a continued focus on both operational excellence and fan experience, areas where Lam has established a reputation for measurable impact.
