Fox News anchor John Roberts has been missing from his program, America Reports. On Tuesday, he shared why he’s been absent.
In a post to social media, John Roberts shared that he has contracted malaria.
“I somehow came down with a severe case of Malaria,” Roberts wrote. “I can honestly say that I am the only person in the hospital with Malaria. In fact, one of my doctors said I’m the first case he has ever seen.”
Trace Gallagher has been filling in for John Roberts, alongside Sandra Smith.
In his message on social media, Roberts thanked Gallagher for stepping into the role in his absence.
The 68-year-old Roberts has been with Fox News since joining in 2011 after previously working at CBS News and CNN, among other stops.
