600 KOGO Morning Host Ted Garcia Announces Exit

He has hosted the show for over a decade, after joining the iHeartMedia San Diego news/talk station in 2014.

Ted Garcia has announced that Friday was his final day hosting San Diego’s Morning News on 600 KOGO.

Garcia helms the program alongside Veronica Carter, who joined the show in September of last year, replacing LaDona Harvey after she spent 28 years with the station.

He has hosted the show for over a decade, after joining the iHeartMedia San Diego news/talk station in 2014.

“Thank you, San Diego,” Garcia said during his final moments on the show. “Maybe I’ll see you down the line,” he succinctly concluded.

Before joining 600 KOGO, Garcia worked as a local TV anchor in markets like Los Angeles, San Antonio, and in San Diego. He additionally spent a brief time as a news anchor at KFI-AM 640 in Los Angeles before transitioning to morning drive at the San Diego station.

In addition to his time as a television and radio news reporter and anchor, Garcia has also appeared in several television shows and movies, like Bruce Almighty, The West Wing, Two And A Half Men, and Boston Legal, among others.
