Melissa Brooks, morning co-host at Country KY 99.5 in Evansville, IN, has announced that she is leaving the morning show and radio.
She posted the news on Instagram, writing, “This is one of the hardest and biggest decisions I’ve ever made. It’s very bittersweet, but it’s time for the next adventure. Thanks for being along for the ride.”
In the video, she said, “There are no hard feelings.” Adding that being in media there is no off switch and having kids changes things, while saying, “I am suffering from major burnout.”
Brooks joined the radio station in 2008 and held various positions in the cluster before landing in KY 99.5 mornings in April 2023.
Brooks indicated that she will be with the station for the next two weeks. The Townsquare Media station has not indicated its plans for the moving show moving forward.
