94.9 WOLX Adds ‘The Brett Andrews Radio Show’ To Morning Drive

"I’m so excited to be back on the air in Madison and waking up Southern Wisconsin on 94.9 WOLX, one of the most listened to and respected radio stations in the state"

Date:

Audacy’s 94.9 WOLX in Madison is shaking up mornings with the debut of The Brett Andrews Radio Show, which will air weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. CT. The move brings a familiar name back to the Madison market while strengthening Audacy’s local programming slate.

Andrews, a seasoned programmer and on-air talent, will balance the new role alongside his existing responsibilities. He currently serves as Brand Manager for Mix 105.1 FM in Madison, as well as Assistant Brand Manager for 99.1 The Mix and 103.7 KISS-FM in Milwaukee. He also continues to host weekday afternoons on 99.1 The Mix from 2 to 7 p.m.

“Brett’s radio IQ, creativity, and leadership have made a tremendous impact on Audacy since he joined us in July,” said Jason Bjorson, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Wisconsin. “We’re excited to bring his passion and energy back to the airwaves of Madison with The Brett Andrews Radio Show kicking off the mornings of Madison’s number one rated station, WOLX.”

For Andrews, the move is as much a return as it is a new chapter.

“I’m so excited to be back on the air in Madison and waking up Southern Wisconsin on 94.9 WOLX, one of the most listened to and respected radio stations in the state,” Andrews said. “My thanks to my Audacy family, including Jason Bjorson, Dave Richards, and Jeff Sottolano. I look forward to my continued partnership with Molly Cruz, Jonathan Suttin, and the rest of the amazing Madison and Milwaukee team. Now let’s dust off that early alarm!”

With the addition of Andrews in mornings, WOLX has unveiled its updated weekday lineup. The Brett Andrews Radio Show leads off from 6 to 10 a.m. CT, followed by Joe Rosati from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Jill Bucco from 3 to 7 p.m.

Andrews brings decades of experience across major markets, having previously served as Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartRadio in Milwaukee and Madison. During that tenure, he also programmed WRIT in Milwaukee, WZEE in Madison, KSLZ in St. Louis, and KKRZ in Portland. His on-air stops include Chicago’s WKSC, Portland’s ZZRZ, and Seattle’s KJR/KJEB.
