Alex Silverman Returns to KNX News as Anchor/Reporter

"It's time to be an anchor and reporter, a job I did in various other cities and really loved for many years. I'm really excited to get going."

Date:

KNX News has added Alex Silverman as a news anchor and reporter for the Audacy Los Angeles all-news brand.

The move marks a return for Silverman to the heritage station. Silverman spent nearly three years as the Brand Manager of the station before exiting earlier this year. That departure concluded 14 years working in all-news radio for Audacy at brands like 880 WCBS in New York, KYW in Philadelphia, and KNX News.

However, in a post to social media on Monday, Silverman shared he had returned to the Los Angeles all-news station, where he’ll be working as a news anchor and reporter.

“Big first day vibes here,” he said. “It’s my first day back at KNX News after a little break. It’s time to be an anchor and reporter, a job I did in various other cities and really loved for many years. I’m really excited to get going.”

In a separate social media post, Silverman shared that he’s “grateful for the opportunity to do what I’ve always loved and thrilled to be back with the best team in the biz.”

Alex Silverman worked as an anchor and reporter earlier in his career at WCBS Newsradio 880 from 2011 until 2018, when he was elevated to the role of Assistant Director of News & Programming. He later moved to KYW Newsradio as that outlet’s Brand Manager and Program Director for four years, before joining KNX News in the fall of 2022.
