The Library of American Broadcasting Foundation has begun a fundraising campaign as the calendar begins to turn to 2026.
The Library of American Broadcasting Foundation is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of broadcasting and other electronic media, primarily through its support of the Library of American Broadcasting (LAB) at the University of Maryland.
Currently, the organization celebrates the legends of the broadcasting industry through its Giants of Broadcasting honors and luncheon, as well as its Insight Award, and to those making outstanding contributions in the preservation of the history of American broadcasting.
“Preservation is more important now than ever. As technology evolves and archives age, broadcasting’s history — America’s story — is at risk of being lost unless we protect it,” a statement from the organization reads. “Together, we can safeguard these irreplaceable materials and keep them alive for researchers, students, and all who value the legacy of radio and television.”
