A pair of Audacy all-news brands in California have combined programming in the overnight hours, as KNX News and KCBS Radio have joined forces.
Between the hours of 12-5 AM, the two stations are sharing programming that is originating from KCBS in San Francisco. Many of the on-air imaging and sounders utilized in the simulcast are from the KCBS branding package.
Meanwhile, traffic updates in the overnight hours have given information for both the Bay Area and Southern California in one conjoined report.
The simulcast between the two brands began on Tuesday, December 9th.
Additionally, KNX News overnight editor Rory Erickson has exited the station after 31 years with the Los Angeles all-news outlet.
Audacy has not responded to request for comment as of this publication.

If you want to sleep listen to KCBS same stories repeat over and over Zzzzzzzz
It’s really annoying listening to these new traffic reports from L.A., as they always say “the” before freeway and highways… It’s almost as annoying when people say “like” before every other word that comes out of their mouth… don’t they know it’s not needed and a waste of my time having to listen to that ?
