The ratings from the Big Ten Championship are in, and it’s a new high watermark for FOX Sports.
The network’s broadcast of the highly anticipated #1 Ohio State vs #2 Indiana matchup saw an average of 18.3 million viewers, according to figures from Nielsen.
That figure marks the most-watched Big Ten Championship Game ever. It was also the most-watched college football game of championship weekend on any network.
FOX Sports shared that viewership peaked at just under 20 million viewers from 11-11:15 PM ET.
The game — which saw Indiana win its first Big Ten championship since 1967 — ranked as the third most-watched non-bowl telecast of college football in FOX Sports history.
Through championship weekend, the three most-watched games during the college football season all aired on FOX.
The network does have one college football broadcast remaining on its schedule for the 2025 season. It will broadcast the Holiday Bowl — pitting Arizona against SMU — from San Diego on Friday, January 2nd. That broadcast will begin at 8 PM ET.
