Lotus Broadcasting is making a change in Las Vegas, moving its FOX Sports Las Vegas FM simulcast from 98.9 FM to 94.7 FM.
The move makes sense for the sports talk station, as the 98.9 FM signal is licensed to Hendersonville, located southeast of the city proper. That signal fails to cover the entire city and surrounding suburbs with its 99 watts of power.
The 94.7 FM signal, meanwhile, features 250 watts of power, providing slightly better coverage to the overall metro area.
FOX Sports Las Vegas will continue utilizing the 1340 AM signal as its main distribution channel.
With the change, the Vegas Golden Knights broadcasts will move along with FOX Sports Las Vegas to the new signal. Dan D’Uva and Gary Lawless will remain as the broadcast crew, while Ryan Wallis will continue to serve as the studio host for the broadcasts.
The station will also remain home of the VGK Insider Show with Wallis and Daren Millard, heard from 4-6 PM in afternoon drive.
The country format previously heard on 94.7 FM — branded as Hank FM — will switch places to the 98.9 FM signal.
FOX Sports Las Vegas will officially transition to the 94.7 FM signal beginning on Thursday, December 18th.
