myTalk 107.1 morning host Alexis Thompson has exited the Minneapolis talk station after Hubbard Broadcasting chose not to renew her contract.
Thompson helmed Jason & Alexis from 6-9 AM each morning on the station.
The news was confirmed on Tuesday morning by her longtime co-host Jason Matheson, who worked alongside Thompson since 2006 before being elevated to morning drive in 2013.
Thompson took to social media to share the news, as well.
“Thank you for 20+ years of supporting me as I built my career in radio,” wrote Thompson. “I loved my job and I loved entertaining you. But today marks a new chapter.”
“I believe community is everything and I hope you’ll come along with me as we build something new…together, ” she continued. “I have been lifted by your love and trust and I continue to be grateful. For now, I’m going to take a beat and do something I haven’t done in a long time…sleep past 4:20 am!”
The station has yet to announce what its plans for the daypart include, or whether Matheson will continue to host the daypart solo or a new partner will be brought in.

Such a sad day for morning radio. I looked forward to hearing her and Jason every day on my commute.
She was fired. She did not quit.
