ABC News has announced it has named Jon Schlosberg as the Executive Producer of This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
Schlosberg will lead all aspects of the Sunday public affairs program. He originally joined ABC News in 2018 as a producer on the network’s streaming platform, ABC News Live. Since 2021, he has served as the senior producer for the platform’s Prime with Linsey Davis newscast.
“Jon is a tenacious journalist and exceptional leader who has been instrumental across the ABC News Group for more than a decade, bringing precision, creativity and integrity to some of the most consequential stories of our time,” said ABC News Washington Bureau Chief Rick Klein.
“His sharp political instincts, deep experience in linear as well as streaming television, and proven ability to build winning teams make him exactly the right person to lead This Week into its next chapter,” concluded Klein.
Prior to joining the outlet, he worked for the company-owned TV station in San Francisco — KGO-TV — and at WVUE-TV in New Orleans.
Schlosberg will officially begin his duties on Wednesday, May 6th.
