Jeremy “Otis” Maher is back on Atlanta airwaves. Cox Media Group’s Adult Contemporary WSB-FM B98.5 has named him night host.
What We Know: Maher recently joined Cox’s Atlanta cluster as Production Manager. Now, additionally, he steps into an on-air role at B98.5. His radio resume spans markets including Louisville, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Madison, and South Bend. He also previously served as in-game host for MLB’s Atlanta Braves.
What They Said: Director of Operations and Programming Jules Riley welcomed the move enthusiastically. “We are so happy to welcome Otis to the B98.5 team,” Riley said. “His connection to Atlanta and his talent on air exemplify B98.5’s commitment to entertaining local radio.” That kind of local endorsement signals a deliberate, community-first programming strategy.
What Remains Unclear: Specifically, it’s not yet known how his Production Manager duties will coexist alongside his new night shift. Furthermore, no details have emerged about his long-term role trajectory within the cluster. Whether this leads to a larger programming position remains to be seen.
What It Means: For B98.5, this move reinforces a commitment to experienced, locally connected talent. Maher brings familiarity with Atlanta listeners, previously spending years at iHeartMedia’s WUBL and WWPW. Consequently, Cox lands a proven multi-format performer who already knows the market well.
