Dick Broadcasting is growing its morning show footprint. The “Jared & Katie Show” is now live in all four of the company’s radio clusters.
What We Know: Bob 93.3 WERO in Greenville/New Bern launched the Jared Pike and Katie Tesh-led program today. Consequently, the station replaced “The TJ & Riggins Show” to make room. The show already airs on Energy 92.1 WMYB in Myrtle Beach and Hot 98.3 WGCO in Savannah, in addition to its home base at 107.5 WKZL in Winston-Salem/Greensboro.
What They Said: Dick VP/Programming and show co-host Jason Goodman cited Savannah’s performance as the catalyst. “The dominance we built at our Greensboro home base and in syndicated Myrtle Beach laid the foundation for big ratings success on our syndicated Hot 98.3 in Savannah, where we landed the No. 1 spot in Adults 25-54 and 18-49,” he said. Meanwhile, Eastern NC Market Manager Tony Denton called the pairing a natural fit, pointing to the show’s chemistry and creative energy. Operations Manager Crystal Legends added that Jared, Katie, Jason, and Matt bring “exactly the fresh energy” the station sought.
What Remains Unclear: Whether Dick Broadcasting plans further syndication beyond its current four-cluster footprint is still unknown. Additionally, no timeline has been announced regarding TJ & Riggins’ future with the company.
What It Means: This expansion signals a deliberate consolidation strategy for Dick Broadcasting. Rather than sourcing local talent market-by-market, the company is clearly betting on a proven commodity. Furthermore, Goodman’s open invitation for outside inquiries suggests the show may eventually reach beyond Dick’s own stations entirely.
