Mike Mulligan and Marshall Harris have departed 104.3 The Score. Mulligan’s tenure with the Chicago based radio station lasted more than two decades. Harris had been with the station in a full-time capacity since 2024.
What We Know: Mulligan departs after two decades with the Chicago sports station. Throughout his tenure, he co-hosted both in middays and morning drive alongside Brian Hanley till 2018, and David Haugh since then. Additionally, Marshall Harris has also parted ways with The Score. Meanwhile, the Rahimi & Grote Show will remain in the 10am-2pm slot starting Monday. A new morning show co-host for Haugh will be named on Monday.
What They Said: Mitch Rosen, The Score Vice President (via a statement to staff obtained by Barrett Media):
“Today, we made some very difficult programming decisions. After more than 20 years with The Score, we have parted ways with Mike Mulligan of the “Mully and Haugh Show.” Mully has been a vital part of The Score family and a major part of our history and success. We are incredibly grateful for his many contributions over the past two decades.
I wish Mully nothing but the best in whatever comes next from the bottom of my heart. We will announce a new morning show co-host on Monday.
Also, we parted ways with Marshall Harris. We thank Marshall for his time with The Score. He has been a great teammate and an important part of our team, and we wish him the very best in the future. Starting Monday, the “Rahimi & Grote Show” will air in its current timeslot of 10am-2pm.” These decisions are never easy, and today was especially difficult for everyone involved. I know there will be questions, and I understand that.”
What Remains Unclear: No word yet on who will join Haugh in mornings moving forward. No reasons were given on the staffing decisions made by the radio station.
What It Means: This shake-up reshapes both the morning and midday lineups. Consequently, longtime listeners face a notably different on-air roster. Mulligan’s tenure at The Score lasted longer than most to the station’s most recognizable talent in the station’s three decades plus history. Mully & Haugh won the “Best Morning Show Award” from the Illinois Association of Broadcasters in November of 2025. As for Harris’ departure, this is the second change in the daypart following the dismissal of Dan Bernstein last summer. Both Harris and Mulligan hosted their programs in full today prior to news of their departures.

Haugh is easily the worst of the bunch, it should have been him out the door.

Honestly, don’t understand the dismissal. I have listened to the Score for decades now. Haven’t liked any of the dismissals when they happened. None.
I am from Massachusetts and are a die hard Chicago sports fan, every morning I get up and listen to Mully and Haugh and enjoy every minute of that show. This is a sad day in my book, over twenty years of loyalty and to get slapped in the face like this, feel bad for and I will miss Mully the world doesn’t appreciate loyalty any more . Good luck mully I will miss you pal.

Saying Mully phoned it in may have a touch of truth, but some of these voices are our coworkers. Marshall and Mully were great.
Grote and Harris was the most fun of the midday combos. Good baseball/football insight, funny and not a lot of unnecessary drama.
What made the score great was the personality, I don’t want a carbon copy of what’s on Fox or ESPN.
I stopped listening to the score when Dan Berstien was let go. Ever since his departure, the score hasn’t been worth listening to. Right now, I’m finding more enjoyment listening to Jonathan hood and Dave Kaplan on am 1000 (ESPN).
I heard Tom Shear open the Score 30+ years ago. Bernstein was a pompous ass and needed to go. Mully bright to light Chicago trams and favs, like introducing the sports world to Sister Jean. Ripoff to Kaplan, Waddle and Silvey
I never liked Bernstein or Boars and my experience with friends and acquaintances was similar. But Mully made up for it. He was likable and interesting. At times I did feel he was too hard on the interns but not due to arrogance such as Boars and Bernstein. Strike one and strike two for raking so long to get rid of those two idiots and strike three for getting rid of a great guy. ESPN here I come.
Rosen is so full of it–constantly with the “we’re a team, a family, we take care of each other”—-and fire on a Friday the last remaining SCORE guy???…you’re a Fraud Mitch, you’ve stayed a bit too long bro. or you’re just taking orders from Audacy mgt so what use are you these days. This station has now jumped the Shark for good now—there’s wing fluff, commercials interrupted by commercials, nice safe sports talk, no controversy, no calling it as it is…the remaining hosts there best keep their resumes ready, Rosen can strike at any time. Please get Laurence Holmes and his fat salary out of there next. Boring, predictable, argumentative, cant talk over him, but he can talk over you…constant reminder that he’s a part time “Professor” and went to the Univ of Alabama–yeah extension correspondence course kind of attendance.
Mully was the only reason I listened to the Score. He was their only blue chipper. Everyone else is deeply flawed. Obviously the changes needed are at the top of the food chain.
Loyal since the beginning on 820. Mulligan was the only guy I enjoyed listening to when I awoke at 5:30. No use turning on the radio now, I will simply watch espn.
Its time for Management change.

Of course they want a woman at the mic, they are cheaper and usually go along with mgmt. Now if they get Peggy and Dionne ill definitely listen they have chops paid their dues.
Just look at the most listened too and watched personalities the audience likes those personalities.
The ratings always tells you, however if you make too much by by.

I cannot believe that. Mitch Rosen would be that low to get rid of one of the best guys on the score. Mulligan was an institutional figure. he was great. I can’t believe the ratings was that low I think it was just an excuse to get rid of him.
Shame to lose such a Chicago Guy like Mully. He was a voice of reason, and now no reason to listen to the Score. Bad day for them. Been faithful listener since the beginning…And no, ESPN sucks, too.
it’s a microcosm of the world in general. companies are fading out the old guys. mully was an old guy. his jokes were old. his stories were old. how many catholic guilt jokes can we take? haugh ain’t much better. between the two of them, the notre dame ass-kissing was vomit inducing. i’ve been there since the very beginning, but i don’t care enough about this to care one way or another.
i was happy when they shit-canned north, also happy when they danny mac the shown door. other than that…whatever. it’s just people talking about sports, nothing important.
