Don Lemon Launching New FAST Channel With Swerve TV

“We built this network on the idea that people want the truth delivered straight without a corporate boss deciding what makes air. Almost eleven million followers later, they are still asking for more."

Date:

Don Lemon is entering the FAST channel space with a new network launching alongside Swerve TV. The channel will feature live shows, archived programming, and commentary from several independent voices.

What We Know: The Don Lemon Channel will launch in conjunction with Swerve TV, bringing Lemon’s independent programming to the FAST television ecosystem. What They Said: “We built this network on the idea that people want the truth delivered straight without a corporate boss deciding what makes air. Almost eleven million followers later, they are still asking for more. So, we are giving them more. More hours, more voices, and now a channel on their televisions. That is what America is demanding. We go where the audience is.” -Don Lemon

“After more than a decade anchoring prime time on CNN, Don has built his own independent network for his more than 10 million followers across multiple platforms. The Don Lemon Channel brings even more reach to his award-winning reporting and commentary, as well as to a cadre of other high-frequency, independent news voices.” -Swerve TV CEO Steve Shannon

What Remains Unclear: The companies haven’t announced the channel’s exact launch date, distribution partners, or the specific platforms where viewers will find it. They also haven’t detailed the full programming lineup or schedule for the live shows.

What It Means: The launch gives Don Lemon another way to reach his large digital audience beyond social media and traditional television. Additionally, the move highlights how FAST channels can provide independent media personalities with a new path to television audiences. As a result, Lemon joins a growing group of personalities using streaming distribution to build media brands outside traditional networks.
