Keith Williams is heading east. Good Karma Sports’ longtime Chicago market leader is taking the reins in New York.
What We Know: Williams is leaving his SVP/Market Manager post in Chicago for the same role with ESPN New York. He announced the move on LinkedIn this week. Notably, Williams has spent more than 27 years with Good Karma Sports, formerly Good Karma Brands, since relocating to Wisconsin early in his career. Additionally, this marks his fourth move with the company, following five years leading the Chicago market. The market had been overseen by Emily Dillinger since the departure of Vinny DiMarco in July of last year.
What They Said: Keith Williams (via LinkedIn): “I’m very thankful for my five years in Chicago and for the many meaningful relationships I’ve built there. I’m excited for what’s ahead for ESPN Chicago and this incredible team. I’ll continue overseeing the Chicago market until my successor is hired.”
What Remains Unclear: Good Karma Sports hasn’t named a timetable for hiring Williams’ Chicago successor. Still, the company hasn’t detailed how Chicago operations will be managed remotely in the interim.
What It Means: Ultimately, Williams’ promotion signals continued investment in ESPN New York’s market leadership. It also reflects Good Karma Sports’ pattern of internal advancement for veteran executives. For Chicago, the dual-market oversight offers stability during the leadership search. Meanwhile, the New York market gains an experienced hand with deep company history.
