The duo replaces Race Taylor, who exited the daypart late last month.

Date:

Trey Morgan and Loren Raye are taking over morning drive on 101.1 WCBS-FM. The duo replaces Race Taylor, who exited the daypart late last month.

What We Know: Morgan most recently hosted afternoons at Big 98.1 in Philadelphia before exiting the station in March 2025. Previously, he worked in New York as the evening host at Z100 and also hosted afternoons at Fresh 102.7. Meanwhile, Raye brings experience from New 102.7 in New York and has worked extensively as a voiceover artist. Her voiceover credits include The Elvis Duran Show. The pair will now lead mornings at WCBS-FM, succeeding Taylor after his seven-year run in the daypart.

What They Said: “There are very few opportunities in radio that feel this special. WCBS-FM has an incredible history and a unique relationship with New York, and I’m grateful for the chance to build this show with Loren Raye. I’ve been fortunate to have learned from great mentors and am excited to continue learning from John Foxx, Jim Ryan, and Chris Oliviero. My goal is to make a show Loren and I are proud of, have a lot of fun and earn our place in people’s mornings.” -Trey Morgan

“As a born and raised Jersey girl, I could not be more excited to launch this new morning show alongside my friend Trey on the legendary WCBS-FM. I’m so grateful to John Foxx, Jim Ryan, Chris Oliviero, Jeff Sottolano and Heather Cohen for believing in me and making my dreams come true. Let’s get to work!” -Loren Raye

“Trey and Loren love radio. They love connecting with people, and each brings a very different take on life to the microphone. Put those personalities in a room, and you’ve got the makings of great conversations and something worth turning up. I’m excited for our listeners to get to know them and find a little of themselves in the show every morning.” -101.1 WCBS-FM Brand Manager John Foxx

What Remains Unclear: WCBS-FM hasn’t publicly detailed how Morgan and Raye will structure the new morning show or whether additional talent will join them. It’s also unclear how the station plans to position the show against competing New York morning programs.

What It Means: The change marks a significant shift for WCBS-FM after Taylor spent seven years anchoring mornings. Morgan’s previous New York experience and Raye’s work in the market give the station a familiar foundation. However, the new team will need to establish its own identity as it takes over one of the station’s most important dayparts.
