What They Said: “I couldn’t be more excited about this new morning show! We’re hoping to bring a fresh, upbeat energy to mornings — lots of positivity, fun, and, hopefully, a reason to smile before you’ve even had your first cup of coffee.” -Toni DeKesyer

“Toni brings experience and a winning record to the show that can’t be matched. I’m super excited to see what the future brings for The Mix Morning Show!” -Ryan Swiger

“We are incredibly excited to bring the Indianapolis area a live, local morning show that truly reflects the lives of the listeners we serve every day. Toni and Ryan bring an authentic connection to our community, not only as talented entertainers but as parents navigating many of the same experiences as our audience. From raising teenagers to surviving sleepless nights with twins, they understand the joys, challenges, and humor of family life. We believe their chemistry, relatability, and passion for our great community will make mornings on The Mix 107.9 FM a destination for listeners seeking connection, entertainment and a great start to their day.” -Cumulus Media Regional Vice President Darlene Park

What Remains Unclear: Cumulus Media hasn’t disclosed additional details about whether the station will make further programming changes.

What It Means: The move gives 107.9 The Mix a dedicated local morning show built around two familiar Indianapolis radio personalities. Additionally, DeKeyser’s transition creates a new daytime lineup across Cumulus Media’s two stations, while allowing Swiger to maintain his afternoon presence on 99.5 ZPL.
