Cenk Uygur: Tucker Carlson Will Continue to Exploit Kanye West

Date:

On Friday, rapper Kanye West also known as “Ye,” appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” where the two discussed various topics.

West made remarks that some deemed controversial and then followed up his appearance on Carlson’s show by going to social media, where he made antisemitic remarks. As a result, Instagram and Twitter have restricted his accounts

Meta, which owns Instagram, told NPR it pulled content that violated policies. However, it didn’t pinpoint which posts were responsible for resulting in Ye having his account restricted.

Following the antisemitic on social media, “The Young Turks” host Cenk Uygur went on Twitter to state that right-wing hosts like Carlson will continue to exploit Ye and give him a platform.

“I told you that @kanyewest was deeply disturbed and was going to do serious damage,” Uygur tweeted on Sunday

“Now he’s written that he is declaring war on Jewish people. That’s a genie you can’t put back in the bottle. Will right-wingers like @TuckerCarlson continue to exploit him anyway? Of course!!”

No further information on how long Ye will be locked out of his social media accounts or whether these outlets plan to ban him from using their platforms.
