CBS Sports college football reporter Brandon Marcello and The Next Round host Ryan Brown have announced a new streaming show, The Middle 8 which will premier on Labor Day and stream live each Monday.
“Excited to announce I’m starting a new limited series with Ryan Brown,” Marcello posted on his X account. “The Middle 8 premieres Labor Day at 8 a.m. CT. New episodes stream *live* every Monday at 8 a.m. CT.”
Marcello was a guest on The Next Round as they made the announcement. Brown explained, “If you know anything about football, The Middle 8, the last four minutes of the first half, first four minutes of the second half, most important part of the game.”
“I can’t wait for it,” Marcello said. “I’m really looking forward to it. There’s nothing more I love to do than talk college football, but especially right after we just get off a weekend of games and we can kind of look ahead to everything on a Monday morning, the rankings coming out, all of that. Monday mornings, to me, even growing up, was one of the more exciting times because going to school or even going into work, when I was first getting into the workforce, everybody getting together and talking about what they saw that weekend on Saturday and where their team should be.
“It’s one of my favorite times to talk, so I’m really looking forward to this and tapping into that excitement.”
