SiriusXM host Howard Stern interviewed Kamala Harris earlier this week. 710 WOR host Mark Simone wonders what happened to the host he used to know.
During The Mark Simone Show, the host questioned what happened to the former shock jock radio host. He questioned why Stern now has such a fierce passion for championing Democratic causes and what led to the shift.
“A lot of us used to love Howard Stern. We grew up listening to Howard Stern. This guy was the shock jock of all shock jocks,” said Simone. “He was the rebel. He would stand up to the establishment. Just an incredible rebel, shock jock. Then all of a sudden, I don’t know what happened. He turns into this drooling ass-kisser.”
During the special interview with Vice President Harris, Stern applauded several things about her candidacy. But what caught Simone’s eye was The King of All Media’s outfit.
“Did you see what he was wearing? He put on a suit and a tie. He’s never worn a suit and tie in his life. Not just a suit, but a three-piece suit with a pocket square. What the hell happened to this guy?”
Mark Simone then played a clip of Howard Stern telling the Democratic nominee that he doesn’t like when shows like Saturday Night Live parody here because he feels “there’s too much at stake for the future of the country” to show a candidate opposing Donald Trump in a comedic light. The 710 WOR host couldn’t believe what he heard.
“Somebody should check and see if this is actually still Howard Stern,” said Simone. “It’s a whole different guy … This guy made fun of anything and everybody … We need a team of psychologists to swoop in and study this phenomenon.”
