OutKick host Clay Travis sat down with President Donald Trump on Air Force One this weekend for an interview. Trump talked about his relationship with the billionaire owner of The Washington Post, Jeff Bezos.
During the conversation, Travis suggested to Trump that it appeared as if Bezos was working to make The Washington Post “more fair” to the President. When Donald Trump said he thought it was “great” that the outlet had changed its tune, Travis asked if the President had spoken with Jeff Bezos about the venerable news outlet.
Donald Trump shared he had spoken “at length” with Bezos, calling the billionaire “a good guy.”
He told Clay Travis that Bezos had said that the Post was “trying to be more fair” to Trump, and that led to internal strife at the outlet.
“They actually did a couple of bad articles on him. He said, ‘This is crazy, I lose my fortune running this thing and they, you know, they’re out of control.’ These people are crazy. They’re crazy people. They’re out of control.”
Trump spoke highly of Bezos for his efforts.
“And he’s a actually a very good guy,” the president said of the Amazon founder. “If you look at the inauguration, look at the people that were on that stage, here was a who’s who of a world that was totally against me the first time. It’s a much different presidency. I have much more support.”
