After 35 years at CNN, national correspondent Gary Tuchman has announced he has departed the cable news network.
In a post on social media, Tuchman revealed his exit.
“I’ve loved my decades as a correspondent at CNN. But after 35 years, I’m moving on,” he wrote.
He added his appreciation for the thousands of colleagues he has worked with since joining the network in 1990.
“I want to say thank you to my CNN colleagues. From my first day in 1990 until today, I have always been proud of CNN and proud to represent CNN around the world,” Tuchman wrote. “Good journalism is now more important than ever. Working with such noble journalists has been the professional honor of my life.”
Tuchman worked as a national correspondent for the network and was also a staff correspondent on Anderson Cooper 360. He was a frequent contributor to New Year’s Eve coverage for CNN, noting that he covered the end-of-year celebration “at least 15” times during his tenure with the network.
In the announcement of his departure, Gary Tuchman did not use the term “retirement”, just simply noting that he was exiting CNN.
