Beasley Media Group has appointed Matt Scarano as Vice President and Market Manager of its Detroit operations, the company announced Wednesday. Scarano will oversee the cluster’s stations, including WRIF, WCSX, WDMK-FM, and WMGC-FM, guiding both strategic growth and daily operations. He officially assumes the role on January 14.
Scarano brings more than 20 years of experience in radio and media management. He brings a record of driving revenue, expanding market presence, and building high-performing teams. His leadership is widely recognized for combining operational discipline with a focus on community engagement.

Prior to joining Beasley, Scarano served as Region President for iHeartMedia in Chicago, overseeing programming, sales, marketing, and engineering. He managed multimillion-dollar budgets and implemented sales strategies that strengthened audience engagement and exceeded revenue targets.
Scarano also played a key role in contract negotiations with advertisers, vendors, and talent, ensuring compliance with FCC regulations.

Scarano’s career also includes leadership positions at Clear Channel Media + Entertainment, where he served as Market President and Director of Sales in both Atlanta and Chicago. In these roles, he expanded advertising initiatives, increased market share, and strengthened relationships with advertisers and local business partners.
Earlier in his career, Scarano held senior sales and operational roles at ABC Radio/The Walt Disney Company, Big League Broadcasting, Cox Broadcasting, Jacor Broadcasting, and Atlanta’s WZGC-FM. Across these positions, he consistently drove revenue growth and fostered long-term client partnerships.
Patti Taylor, who has been serving as Vice President and Market Manager, will transition to Vice President of Sales for the Detroit cluster. She will focus on revenue growth and client relationships.
