Chris Cline is leaving Reelworld after 18 years. He served as the company’s Vice President of Affiliate Relations.
What We Know: Cline’s run at Reelworld spanned nearly two decades. However, he isn’t cutting ties completely. Instead, he will stay on as a consultant in a limited capacity. Before Reelworld, he co-founded N2 Effect and spent six and a half years at TM Century, now TM Studios. Ultimately, his career began as a B96/Chicago intern and moved through Midwest stations into syndication.
What They Said: Chris Cline: “I have nothing but great things to say about my tenure at Reelworld. I’m incredibly grateful for the people I’ve had the opportunity to work with over the years and will always consider everyone at Reelworld my friends and family.”
What Remains Unclear: Cline has not revealed his next move. Similarly, Reelworld has not named a replacement for his affiliate relations role.
What It Means: As a result, Reelworld loses a veteran with more than three decades in radio and audio. His resume spans affiliate relations, syndication, sales, marketing, creative services and radio production. While Cline awaits his next steps, the ability to stay on as a consultant keeps a level of a trusted voice in the Reelworld framework till those next steps are found.
