ESPN is putting its NHL streaming coverage in the spotlight this November. Ten exclusive games will be available across ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu.
What We Know: ESPN’s November NHL lineup includes 10 exclusive national broadcasts between November 3 and 19, the network announced via press release. All games will stream on ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu, with four doubleheaders scheduled throughout the month. The slate opens on Tuesday, November 3 with Edmonton facing New Jersey at 7:30 p.m. ET. Other featured matchups include Washington at Tampa Bay on November 17 and Dallas at Vegas on November 19, ahead of their meeting in the 2027 NHL Stadium Series. Meanwhile, ESPN’s hockey studio program The Point will air November 5 and 12 on ESPN2 and ESPN+. Likewise, coverage will feature Steve Levy, P.K. Subban, Kevin Weekes, Emily Kaplan, Bob Wischusen and John Buccigross across game broadcasts and studio programming. The November slate is part of ESPN’s broader NHL rights package, featuring 100 exclusive regular-season games.
What Remains Unclear: ESPN hasn’t provided audience projections for its November streaming schedule. It’s also unclear how much additional reach the broader distribution will generate.
What It Means: The network’s November NHL schedule reinforces the growing importance of streaming in its live sports strategy. By offering 10 exclusive games, the network can reach audiences through multiple services while strengthening Disney’s overall sports offerings. Meanwhile, keeping The Point on ESPN2 maintains a connection to traditional television and provides opportunities to promote streaming-exclusive matchups. Ultimately, the approach could help ESPN expand its NHL audience while encouraging greater engagement across Disney’s platforms.
