Charlie Kirk: ‘Mockingbird Media’ Failing to Cover Tony Bobulinski Story

Fox News host Tucker Carlson sat down with former Biden family business associate Tony Bobulinski earlier this week for a full hour-long interview where Bobulinski claims he can prove both President Biden and his son, Hunter, defrauded American taxpayers out of millions of dollars. Conservative radio host Charlie Kirk was astounded by the lack of coverage the story has received.

“The mockingbird media’s lack of coverage of this Tony Bobulinksi story is extraordinary even for them,” Kirk said. “It really is. New York Times, not a mention. Of course not. Wall Street Journal — I don’t think — even mentions Tony Bobulinski. Nope. Nothing here.”

Bobulinski claims he and Hunter Biden were business partners until the President’s son went around his back to receive a $10 million payment without him. He added the FBI interfered in the 2020 Presidential election, He told Carlson he’s going public now because “nothing is being done about the facts”.

“There has been an unbelievable blockade of this story,” Kirk continued. “No one seems to care about it. Even some conservative media is kind of shrugging their shoulders.”

Evan Roberts: Media Has Used ‘Coded Language’ Around Aaron Judge Home Run Chase

Much has been made about the coverage surrounding Aaron Judge and his chase for the American League and New York Yankees franchise record for home runs in a single season. WFAN afternoon host Evan Roberts has had enough tiptoeing around what he viewed as the facts.

“I think that the term ‘American League record’ has been code languaged for a month,” Roberts said, while co-host Craig Carton shouted “Yes!”. “It’s a code language. No one truly cares about the American League record. But a broadcaster or a headline can’t say ‘the real record’ or ‘the clean record’, so we’ve been using this term — which is factually accurate, ‘It’s the American League record, It’s the Yankee record’ — as a way to say ‘This is historic’, when the truth is it’s not the record! But we don’t want to say ‘It’s the non-tainted record’, so we hide behind ‘It’s the American League record’.”

Carton added that Judge’s season can both be one of the greatest every put together by a Major Leaguer, while also still being 11 home runs shy of the all-time record, saying just because you want the history to be changed doesn’t make it changed.

Dennis Eckersley Announces Final MLB Game

Dennis Eckersley announced his final Major League Baseball game Wednesday, ending a career as one of baseball’s most recognizable announcers.

Eckersley revealed he would step aside at the end of the season in early August, telling The Boston Globe “I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. I really have. Not that it matters, but it’s kind of a round number, leaving. I started in pro ball in ‘72, when I was a 17-year-old kid right out of high school. Fifty years ago. And I’ve been with NESN for 20 years, even though it doesn’t feel like that because I didn’t do much my first four or five years. So it’s time.”

After the game, all of the media members in attendance greeted Eckersley and wished the 67-year-old well after calling his final broadcast.

In addition to his work with NESN since 2003, Eckersley also worked as a studio analyst for TBS from 2008-2012, and joined the broadcast booth for its Sunday afternoon package from 2013-2017.

Eckersley was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 2004 after a storied pitching career, including an American League MVP and Cy Young Awards in 1992.

Jim Sciutto Takes Leave Of Absence After CNN Investigates ‘Personal Situation’

CNN anchor Jim Sciutto has taken a leave of absence after the network opened an investigation into his conduct.

Earlier this year, Sciutto suffered a “serious fall” while in Amsterdam awaiting return to the United States after visiting Ukraine on assignment. The Daily Beast’s Confider reported that the veteran anchor traveled to Amsterdam on his return trip even after CNN offered direct flights to the United States from Poland.

The Daily Beast added Sciutto was “directed by CNN to address a personal situation”.

Sciutto anchors CNN Newsroom from 9:00-11:00 AM weekdays. He joined the network in 2013 after working at ABC News.

CNN has yet to comment publicly.

WABC Radio’s Bernie McGuirk Has Passed Away

The talk radio industry has lost one of its signature voices. WABC announced on Thursday morning that Bernie McGuirk had died after a battle with prostate cancer. He would have turned 65 at the end of the month.

McGuirk had been with the station since 2007. He partnered with Sid Rosenberg in 2016. Their show was initially heard in middays. They made the move to afternoon drive in 2018.

“Bernie was my partner and my friend,” said Rosenberg. “He was always the smartest guy in the room, and I was fortunate to be the guy next to him. I know our listeners join me in grieving the loss to radio and to New York.”

McGuirk began his radio career in 1986. Most listeners outside of New York likely knew him from his time with Don Imus. He served as Imus’s executive producer from 1993 until 2018. His sense of humor, candid opinions, and parody songs were staples of his on-air contributions.

“Bernie was not just half of Bernie and Sid in the Morning; Bernie was part of the fabric of WABC. Listeners from all around the world started their days with Bernie’s charismatic wit and insight, from tragic events to American’s day to day life. His absence will leave a hole not just at WABC but across the airwaves and in America’s hearts. Bernie was our brother, our friend, our mentor, our colleague. We will all miss Bernie more than words can express,” Chad Lopez, President of Red Apple Media and 77 WABC, wrote in an email to his staff.

The WABC morning show will hold a moment of silence for Bernie McGuirk on Thursday. The station is preparing a tribute show, which is scheduled to run on Tuesday, October 11.

CNN Names Amara Walker ‘New Day Weekend’ Anchor

CNN has tapped correspondent Amara Walker to anchor “New Day Weekend” with Boris Sanchez. Walker began her career at CNN as an anchor for CNN International in 2012. 

In a news release, the network said Walker will anchor the program from the network’s global headquarters in Atlanta, and she will continue to report on stories across the network’s programs and platforms.

“During the 2020 Presidential election and the Georgia Senate runoff, Walker was part of the election night team reporting on President Trump’s repeated attacks against the Georgia Secretary of State, baselessly claiming fraud,” the network said. 

Walker began her career at CNN as an anchor for CNN International in 2012, where she distinguished herself as one of the lead breaking news anchors having covered several live major international news events.

Walker was also live on the air as a fire ripped through Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris in April 2019. In 2017, she was part of the CNN team nominated for an Emmy Award for the breaking news coverage of the Manchester Arena bombing attack.

“New Day Weekend” airs on CNN on Saturdays 6-9 a.m. ET and on Sundays from 6-8 a.m. ET. She will also anchor “CNN Newsroom” 10-11amET on Saturday along with Sanchez.

Ben Shapiro: ‘Bros’ Film a Major Bust at the Box Office

The highly acclaimed “Bros” movie was a massive box office bust last weekend. According to the New York Times, the first gay romantic comedy from a major studio sold $4.8 million in tickets, 40% less than expected. 

Syndicated radio host and Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro said Wednesday “Bros” spent $30 million on marketing. 

“The marketing and production costs were $52 million combined,” Shapiro said. “We’re not talking about overseas; we’re just talking about domestically. The movie was shown on 3,350 screens.”

Shapiro said the total number of screens divided by the movie’s total revenue equals less than $1,500 per screen. 

“Let’s assume the average ticket price was $12,” he said. “That means each theatre sold not for one show but the entire weekend, which presumably you’re talking about Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you’re probably talking about 20 people per theatre, that’s the high-end estimate.” 

Shapiro said the reason the movie is a big deal is that the film’s lead actor, Billy Eichner, went on national TV and said that to demonstrate that the U.S. is a tolerant country people need to try to see the movie. 

“And then he did an entire thread on how angry he was that people had not seen his movie,” Shapiro added. 

Joe Walsh: Fox News Overreacting to Scooby-Doo Is Right-Wing Talking Point

A clip of Fox News commentator Jimmy Failla joking about a cartoon character’s sexuality is drawing criticism from political pundit Joe Walsh. 

Failla appeared on “The Faulkner Focus” Wednesday to discuss Velma from Scooby-Doo. According to Variety, Velma is officially a lesbian. The news was confirmed when she met Coco Diablo in the new movie, “Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!” 

“I don’t even have a problem with Velma being gay, obviously,” said Failla. “If we were going to take Scooby Doo seriously, we should be more concerned about the talking dog.” 

“In my days as a right-wing media talker, this kind of s–t was always such a reliable go-to: Hold up a character on “Scooby-Doo” as clear evidence of the fall of western civilization,” Walsh tweeted.” 

Failla joked that the movie creators must have been cognizant of the current economic climate. 

“But they make this the most realistic season ever,” he said. “The Mystery Machine can’t afford gas, so they don’t go anywhere.”  

Walsh added that he used scenarios like the one portrayed in the Scooby Doo movie to “rile up the audience.” 

“I did it more times than I’m proud of,” he added.

Roland Martin Slams Brian Kilmeade for Soft Questions to Herschel Walker

Georgia’s Republican nominee for U.S. Senate is ensnared in an abortion controversy. This week, The Daily Beast reported that Herschel Walker, who is running as a pro-life candidate, paid for an abortion for his then-girlfriend back in 2009. 

Walker appeared on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday with Brian Kilmeade to deny the story, asserting that he doesn’t know the woman referenced in the report. 

“It’s like everyone is anonymous, everyone is leaking, and they want you to confess about something you have no clue about. This just shows you how desperate they (Democrats) are right now.”  

Walker told Kilmeade that his opponent, Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock, sees him as a big threat. He said he knew the race was going to get dirty when he decided to run. 

Political pundit Roland Martin quote tweeted the interview, Martin referred to it as “pathetic” and criticized Kilmeade for asking soft questions. 

“If y’all want to see a pathetic interview, just watch weak ass @kilmeade talk to @HerschelWalker,” he said. “This is beyond embarrassing. @FoxNews should be ashamed. I can’t wait for @HARRISFAULKNER to call this out on @OutnumberedFNC.” 

“So what you’re saying is, you haven’t been the perfect dad, you haven’t been the perfect spouse, but you’ve been redeemed?” asked Kilmeade. “Is that what you’re saying?”

“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Walker replied.
