Glenn Beck Releases First Podcast Episode Fully Produced By AI

0

Glenn Beck has unveiled a podcast episode completely crafted by his proprietary AI.

Dubbed as “Glenn A.I.”, the first episode of the podcast shares commentary from Glenn Beck on the recent U.S. military intervention in Venezuela, and the reaction from the political left.

The podcast episode was released in conjunction with another Artificial Intelligence project featuring the created image and voice of President George Washington reacting to the same subject matter.

The full podcast monologues come after Beck had teased AI projects that he had been working on late last year.

In early December, the longtime news/talk radio host aired a portion of an interview he did with the AI-created Washington. Showcasing that he could give specific prompts to the digital creation to adjust its language, among other things.

Beck’s AI initiatives are part of the new foundation he launched called The Torch. It’s dedicated to preserving American history and education surrounding the topic.

The full podcast — which, as of this publication, is unlisted on YouTube — of the AI-created version of Glenn Beck is available below.

Sactown Sports Names Allen Stiles New Afternoon Co-Host on ‘The Drive Guys’ Beginning January 12

0

Sactown Sports 1140 is reshaping its afternoon lineup with the addition of a familiar and proven voice. The Sacramento-based sports radio station announced that Allen Stiles will join The Drive Guys with Kevin Gleason as a full-time co-host beginning Monday, January 12, expanding the show’s perspective during one of the most competitive dayparts in sports radio.

The move pairs Stiles with Kevin “Whitey” Gleason, a long-established presence in the Sacramento market. It signals the station’s commitment to deepen local connections and strengthen its afternoon drive lineup. The Drive Guys airs weekdays from 2 to 6 p.m. It serves as a flagship program for fans of regional and national sports.

“Friday will be my last day on the midday show,” said Stiles during the announcement made earlier today on The Carmichael Dave Show. “Just want to thank you, and appreciate everything.”

Stiles is already a well-known personality among Sactown Sports listeners. He currently hosts The Allen Stiles Show, which runs weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. His transition into the afternoon drive expands his role within the station for his analysis and personality.

As to who will be replacing Stiles in middays, the station will reveal that news later this week.

Sacramento Kings play-by-play voice Kyle Draper served in afternoons along with Gleason from 2023 till last month. There has been no official word on if he will be a candidate for the open midday timeslot.

Stiles continued to share his thoughts on the move to open his program on Tuesday.

“It’s an extremely fortunate opportunity for me. I’m really excited about it,” said Stiles.

From a programming standpoint, the pairing brings together two broadcasters with distinct styles. Gleason’s decades of experience covering Sacramento sports are complemented by Stiles’ energetic delivery and approach to sports talk. Together, the duo is expects to offer layered conversations that balance opinion, insight, and accessibility.

The show’s focus will remain centered on the Sacramento Kings and San Francisco 49ers, while continuing to cover the NBA, NFL, and major national storylines. The addition of Stiles underscores Sactown Sports 1140’s broader strategy of investing in local talent and strengthening its core lineup as competition for audience attention continues to intensify across platforms.

A new morning show team has been assembled at 98.7 The Bull in Portland, as Jeff “JR” Ramsey, Jake Byron, and Mallory Santic will take over the time slot.

The move marks a return for Byron, who previously spent a decade at the station before departing last year. It’s the third time he’s worked at 98.7 The Bull and is back in the daypart he spent time in previously.

“Connoisseur Media is making possible what I only dared to dream: a return to the daypart I called home for 15 years,” said Byron. “I am so proud and excited to be part of 98.7 The Bull once again!”

Meanwhile, Ramsey joins after working in Portland, Maine at Q 97.9. He previously spent time working in markets like Nashville and Denver, among others.

“I’m fired up, grateful, and beyond excited to wake up with Portland every weekday morning on 98.7 The Bull!” Ramsey said.

Santic is a radio newcomer. A social media influencer, she is most recognizable from her time on the reality dating show Love Island.

“I’m so excited to be part of launching a new morning show on 98.7 The Bull,” said Santic. “I love Portland, I love country music, and I can’t wait to start mornings with listeners and connect with the city we call home.”

The new morning show on the Connoisseur Media country station will begin on January 20th.

“When you can take two people who grew up here and love 98.7 The Bull and add another great radio talent, you have the recipe for the perfect morning show for country fans in Portland,” said Ross MacLeod, Portland Operations Manager.

Connoisseur Media, since our purchase of Alpha, has been going from market to market to add a stronger local presence,” said Senior Vice President of Programming Keith Dakin. “We believe that for radio to thrive in 2026, we have to be a major part of our communities, and having a strong morning show like this is a giant piece of the puzzle.”

Mark Silverman Announces Departure As COO, President FOX Sports

0

FOX Sports President and COO Mark Silverman will step away from his day-to-day responsibilities in the coming months, transitioning into a consulting role with the company, FOX Sports announced Tuesday. The move marks the end of a significant leadership chapter during one of the network’s most successful growth periods.

Silverman joined FOX Sports in 2018 after more than a decade leading Big Ten Network, where he served as president from its launch in 2006. Across both stops, Silverman built a reputation as a steady executive with a strong focus on collaboration, long-term partnerships, and scalable growth in an evolving sports media landscape.

During his tenure at FOX Sports, Silverman worked closely with CEO and Executive Producer Eric Shanks as the network reached record-setting highs across multiple properties. FOX Sports experienced strong momentum driven by its NFL and college football coverage, along with global soccer events, Major League Baseball, and other marquee programming. The network has consistently positioned itself as a major rights holder and production leader across linear television and digital platforms.

In a statement, Silverman reflected on his time with the company, calling the experience both fulfilling and emotional.

“I am immensely proud of all that we have been able to accomplish at FOX Sports and the 11 prior years at BTN”, said Silverman. “It has been an incredibly rewarding experience working with all the talented people at FOX and creating memories that will last a lifetime. While bittersweet, I look forward to embarking on my next chapter.”

Shanks praised Silverman’s impact beyond traditional business metrics, emphasizing his influence on company culture and partner relationships.

“Mark has been an amazing partner through this incredible period of growth at FOX Sports. His contributions go way beyond the bottom line. Mark’s contributions to the culture here and the relationship with our partners is something we can all be proud of. Always a fun and inspirational friend, I’ll miss him around the office every day, but we will continue to press forward and work on projects that keep FOX Sports on top.”

Silverman’s shift to a consulting role suggests continued involvement in select projects and strategic initiatives, even as FOX Sports prepares for a leadership transition. The company said a successor will be named in the near future, but John Ourand of Puck reported that Brad Zager, FOX Sports president of production and operations/executive producer, will be succeeding Silverman. FOX Sports has not confirmed the reporting.

YES Network Announces Partnership With Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) has struck a multi-platform partnership with the YES Network, bringing the organization’s programming to a wider regional and national audience. BKFC content will debut on YES and The Gotham Sports App starting Friday, January 9.

The collaboration will feature BKFC’s popular series, including Road To, BKFC Unwrapped, and BKFC Rewind. It will also include The Bare Knuckle Show podcast, hosted by fight analyst Brian Soscia. The content will be available on YES’ regional broadcasts, the YES National feed, and the streaming Gotham Sports App, YES’ official digital platform.

The agreement also includes cross-promotion. YES will highlight BKFC content across its network and app, while BKFC will promote YES and its streaming platform across its digital channels and live events.

“Partnering with the YES Network is a major step for BKFC’s growth,” said David Feldman, founder and president of BKFC. “This collaboration expands our reach not only in New York but also across the country. Fans will now have more convenient access to the athletes who define our sport, and we anticipate introducing bare-knuckle fighting to a broader audience.”

“BKFC has a passionate and rapidly growing following,” Feneque said. “By adding their programming to YES and Gotham, we can introduce the sport to new audiences. Providing existing fans with additional ways to engage. It’s an exciting fit for our distribution platforms and will help broaden our demographic reach. The platform announced several high-profile additions, including USA Today columnist Bob Nightengale and FanSided National MLB Insider Robert Murray joining the Foul Territory Insider team, alongside Senior Insider Ken Rosenthal and former MLB general manager Jim Bowden.

The network also unveiled its latest show, Halo Territory, which will focus on the Los Angeles Angels. Hosted by longtime Los Angeles Times reporter Mike DiGiovanna and former MLB slugger Mark Trumbo, the show promises a mix of journalistic insight and player perspective. DiGiovanna, who has covered the Angels and Dodgers for three decades, said the pair aims to deliver nuanced commentary on a team with a passionate fan base, despite recent struggles on the field.

“I’ve enjoyed being a guest on Foul Territory, and Mark and I are excited to join the network’s growing lineup of informed and intelligent baseball voices,” DiGiovanna said. “We look forward to bringing the unique insights of a former big-league slugger and longtime baseball writer to Halo Territory.”

In addition, Katie Woo, who recently shifted from covering the St. Louis Cardinals to the Dodgers for The Athletic, has joined Dodgers Territory as a co-host alongside Alanna Rizzo and Clint Pasillas. CBS News Removes Tony Dokoupil Flub From CBS Evening News on YouTube

0

New CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil had an unfortunate hiccup during his first weeknight edition leading the nightly newscast. But the network removed that from the digital editions it published later in the day.

During a portion of the live broadcast on Monday evening, Dokoupil appeared to become confused about what the next story would be on the newscast.

“To Governor Walz…no, we’re gonna do Mark Kelly,” Dokoupil said. “First day. First day, big problems here. Are we going to Kelly here or are we going to Jonah Kaplan?”

After several seconds of silence, Tony Dokoupil then pivoted to a news story about Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) being censured by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for his recent comments about whether or not military members should defy illegal orders.

The moment from Dokoupil’s first weeknight anchoring the CBS Evening News went viral on social media in the aftermath. Many took potshots at the new anchor.

However, when the CBS Evening News broadcast was published in its entirety on YouTube, the moment had been edited out.

Despite the editing change on YouTube, CBS News did not remove the flub from the audio podcast version published to the newscast’s feed on Monday evening.
