Joe Rogan Eclipses Outlets Like Fox News and MSNBC on YouTube and Facebook During October

0

Joe Rogan has become a massive player in the audio space with his popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast. But the prowess of his video presence has also been on display in recent months as he bested outlets like Fox News and MSNBC on Facebook and YouTube.

According to data from Tubular Labs, Rogan’s YouTube and Facebook presence saw a 173% increase month-over-month in unique visitors, 21.9 million, during the lead-up to the 2024 election.

Much of that increased viewership can be attributed to high-profile conversations featured on The Joe Rogan Experience. The Republican presidential ticket of Donald Trump and JD Vance each appeared on separate episodes of the show. Trump’s sit-down conversation currently features more than 50 million views on YouTube. Meanwhile, Rogan’s discussion with Vance is nearing 20 million views on the same platform.

Additionally, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris never appeared, there was much intrigue on whether or not she would guest on the show. However, Rogan discussed at length the behind-the-scenes happenings of the lengths he went to to secure an interview and why it never came to fruition.

During the month, Joe Rogan saw more than 1.2 billion minutes of watch time, which placed him third overall behind Disney Junior and Meida Touch. That figure is a 145% increase compared to the previous month. MSNBC featured 1.1 billion minutes of watch time during the month, good for fourth, while Fox News saw 1 billion minutes on YouTube and Facebook during that same timeframe.

1130 WISN Names Dan O’Donnell to Replace Mark Belling in Afternoons at iHeartMedia Milwaukee Station

0

Longtime 1130 WISN host Mark Belling is stepping away at the end of the year. The iHeartMedia Milwaukee station will shift Dan O’Donnell to Belling’s timeslot.

O’Donnell had previously hosted the 9-11 AM timeslot for the station, and will now shift to the 3-6 PM window that Belling occupied. Belling announced his plans to step away from the 1130 WISN lineup in favor of a podcast after working at the station for nearly 35 years. Belling’s new podcast will debut on May 1st, the station announced Tuesday.

“I am really excited,” said O’Donnell. “Obviously, it’s not just big shoes to fill, but the biggest in terms of local conservative talk in the entire country.”

News anchor Benjamin Yount will step into the 9-11 AM timeslot that O’Donnell has hosted since joining the station nearly 11 years ago. Yount has worked on The Jay Weber Show in morning drive and served as a fill-in host for the daypart as well.

“What’s great about this is all of these people are familiar to our listeners,” 1130 WISN Program Director Jerry Bott said. “We were able to do it all in-house. Everybody understands the mission of WISN which does not change one iota. We press forward as the counterpoint to the mainstream media.”

Weber will remain in mornings from 6-9 AM, while The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show (11 AM-2 PM) and The Vicki McKenna Show (2-3 PM) will also stay unchanged in the iHeartMedia Milwaukee news/talk station’s lineup.

The new 1130 WISN lineup will begin on Thursday, January 2nd.
