Jay Wright is expected to sign with CBS for the college basketball season.

On Saturday, CBS drew an average of 11.557 million viewers for the Alabama-Tennessee game.

The NFL's broadcast deals signed last year with FOX and CBS including local exclusivity. In turn, the networks have continued to hold or have purchased stations in NFL markets.

Alabama-Arkansas drew an average of 5.828 million viewers, making it the most-watched Alabama-Arkansas game in 12 years.

That number buoys the network to an average of 18.559 million viewers over the first four games of the season.

For the 6:00 AM to noon Eastern period, Fox News was, by far, tops on cable with 1.97 million total viewers including 298,000 within the key 25-54 demographic. CNN's morning ratings received a hefty boost from its normal levels, averaging 1.52 million viewers.

McDonough is a big-time announcer. He has certainly carved out a niche for himself with a style that, to me, is all his own.
