Futuri has named talented media executive Zena Burns as its Senior Vice President Strategic Marketing and Brand Development. Burns will be tasked with developing high-level special projects designed to drive company growth.
According to a release obtained by Barrett News Media, Burns will also focus on growing content creation efforts tied to Futuri’s innovation initiatives; conferences and events; corporate messaging and public relations; trade publication relations.
The Ohio-based company specializes in cloud-based audience engagement.
Burns was credited with developing a study, which identified critical shifts in audience and revenue trends for radio and TV broadcasters and digital publishers. The study titled “Future of Audience and Revenue” is considered a groundbreaking report in the broadcasting industry.
Burns’ résumé includes SVP, Programming Partnerships, in iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group (NPG) team. She was also Entertainment Director/Music Editor at TEEN PEOPLE Magazine, part of the PEOPLE Magazine Group.
Burns is also a 2-year member of the Country Radio Seminar Agenda Committee. She is credited with spearheading Futuri’s role at the upcoming National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
